Futura Green was founded in 1986 in connection with the growing realization of the impact of the greenhouse effect. Since then, the foundation has provided funds to more than 100 projects. The majority of the funding has been granted to research conducted at Swedish universities and colleges.
Our travel scholarship programme has been discontinued and will not be restarted.

Futura Foundation supports scientific research and education in the following areas: Science, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, and the history of ideas. Projects must have an environmental focus and take a long-term view. Cross-discipline studies are encouraged but not required.
